New Bern, the county seat of Craven County, is located about 100 miles southeast of Raleigh, at the junction of the Neuse and the Trent Rivers.

The Craven County Regional Airport (EWN) recently completed a new passenger terminal. Air service is provided by US Air offering several daily flights to Charlotte and other connecting points, in addition to weekend flights to Philadelphia, PA and other connecting points.

Jet Service by Delta Airlines is also available from the nearby Kinston airport (approximately 30 minutes from New Bern). Major roadways coming into New Bern are US 70 running east and west from Interstate 95, and US 17 running north and south.
